Our company origins differ greatly from that of most limousine services. While most limousine services have evolved from taxi companies, sedan services or bus companies, our background comes from emergency services. We also differ from most of the companies locally, in that we do not offer corporate contracts. Many local companies heavily rely on big corporate customers for as much as 70% of their business. Our focus is on individuals and small business owners like you.
The owner of Imperial One (Troy) started a limousine service as a side business in 1988 while working as a firefighter
(The company was named Coastal Connections at that time).
In 1992 Troy flew to South Florida to assist in the restoration efforts from Hurricane Andrew. After returning Troy began a new career managing private security companies and was the youngest security agency manager in the bay area at that time. A few years later he began to teach the 40 hour state course to license security officers and continued to both teach and manage until 2004.
Troy then began working on a business plan for a 'different' kind of Limousine Company. This company would be operated based on the emergency service, security and safety background of its founder. Troy launched Imperial One in 2008. His vision for this new company was a simple one: provide reliable vehicles, professional chauffeurs and fair pricing. While most services charge 20% gratuity and a host of other 'hidden fees' in order to confuse clients into paying higher rates, Imperial One simply quotes a flat rate price that is all inclusive. This method of pricing offers no unwanted surprises.
Today we are a fully licensed and insured luxury ground transportation service offering one of the largest 'all limousine' fleets on the West Coast of Florida. Our high-quality Limousines are manufactured by the country’s premiere limousine builders. We strive every day to provide a quality service to our clients.
Many transportation companies have taken a beating recently with the emergence of both Uber & Lyft. We have been completely unaffected because we don't provide sedan service. Our competition also doesn't like the fact that we maintain low rates. Almost every week we hear from callers telling us what our competitors have said. We however do not 'bad mouth' our competition, those who do this are acting from a position of weakness and not strength. Our focus is on our customers and that’s where it will remain.
We are members of The Cops & Firefighters in Business Network and have received Merchant Circles 'Top Merchant' status, DIYSEO 'Top Performer' status, the Safety Excellence Award and Merchant Circles 'Circle of Excellence'.
We have supported many charities including: the Humane Society, Big Cat Rescue, Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, SPCA, Littles & Middles, Ronald McDonald House, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Young Life, SHAMC, Dunedin Fine Art Center, Larger Than Life, Espiritu Santo School and many others.
